Wednesday is the weekly inspection for all the JROTC student/cadets of the Carrizo Springs High School Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps cadets. The in-ranks inspection consists of things such as proper fit of the uniform, proper wear, and alignment of all authorized uniform items including rank, hat, belt, and achievement awards. The student/cadets are also asked questions from the comprehensive academic curriculum during the inspection.  After the uniform inspection is competed, cadets receive instruction on and practice dismounted drill such as marching, facing movements, saluting and other military courtesies.  Each class or company is lead by a Cadet Class Leader and or Cadet Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO).  Members of each class or company start there inspection with a series of movements beginning with "Fall In;"  "Report;"  "Open Ranks - March;" "Dress Right-Dress;" "Ready-Front;"  and followed by consolidating movement known as "Close Ranks-March."   All student cadets have a tremendous amount of memory work to accomplish in learning and understanding what to do when, during their respective drill periods says Sophomore Cadet/Command Sergeant Major Robert Enriquez.    Every cadet wears their uniform with pride and respect for what it means and the accomplishments they earned.
