The JROTC student/cadets in conjunction with the Law Enforcement Club, the Off-Season Girls Volley Ball players and the TAPPS Academy introduced a new activity to Carrizo Springs High School events calendar.
"PUSHBALL" made it debut on Friday, March 9th when 70 of our students participated in this rigorous, sometimes rough and tumble novelty event. Players were mixed and evenly divided into two teams with all players participating in the two 20 minute halves of the game. The ball is a six foot two inch ball that must be pushed across the opponents goal line for a five (5) point score. When there are 70 players all trying to move the ball against each other, Look out! something gotta give. Players soon learned that getting the ball airborne was the way of success. JROTC hosted the event and will be looking for other worth opponents and participants in the future.
