Ms. Contreras and Mr. Alvarado were cordially invited to attend the Carrizo Springs C.I.S.D. Board Meeting on September 18, 2007. The Carrizo Springs Board of Trustees recognized both history teachers for their dedication to all their students at Carrizo Springs Junior High School.
CSJH Social Studies Student of the Month
The Carrizo Springs Junior High is pleased to announce a new initiative. The Social Studies Department will recognize a student each month that academically excels in social studies, takes a leadership role in the student body, and exhibits characteristics of good citizenship. The Junior High Social Studies Department, Ms. Contreras, Mr. Alvarado, and Ms. Garza, are proud to inform the community that Dominic Poncedeleon has been chosen as the Social Studies Student of the Month for October. Dominic has maintained a grade point average of 100 in U.S. History, has perfect attendance, and continuously meets every challenge placed before him.
