

Falcon Lake Competition
On Saturday December 10, 2005 Rio
Grande City and Roma High Schools
hosted their annual Falcon
Lake competition. The competition had featured twelve (12)
events and activities
for cadets. Schools from all over South Texas competed at Falcon
Lake including Laredo,
Eagle Pass, Roma,
Del Rio, Zapata, Rio Grande City
and Carrizo Springs. The cadets that participated were as follows: Cadet
Lieutenant Colonel Sarah Stiles, Cadet Major Irene Medina, Cadet 1st
Lieutenant Jose Gomez, Cadet 1ST Lieutenant Nicolas Sunderland,
Cadet 1st Lieutenant Diana Garcia, Cadet 2nd Lieutenant
Amy Sanchez, Cadet Staff Sergeant Robert Enriquez, Cadet Sergeant Joseph A.
Martinez, Cadet Sergeant JJ Rios, Cadet Sergeant Antonio Garcia, Cadet Sergeant
Paloma Lopez, Cadet Corporal Samuel Arredondo, and Cadet Corporal Larry Gordon.
All cadets did well in each of there team or individual competitions. The Carrizo Springs High School
cadets brought home two more trophies to add to the trophy case. The trophies
awarded to the Carrizo Springs High Wildcat Battalion were the: Color Guard
competition 1st place and The Cadet Challenge (Physical Training) 2nd
place.
