VFW Post Recognizes Local JROTC Cadet
The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9361 in Carrizo Springs
recognized and presented its 2005 JROTC Award for Outstanding Achievement and
Exceptional Leadership Ability to Cadet Sergeant First Class Scott Navarro in
Post Ceremonies held on 17 November 2005. Scott received the special
recognition for his willingness to step forward and take the reigns of the Air
Rifle Marksmanship Team as a first year cadet in the Carrizo Springs High
School JROTC Program. He also has performed in an outstanding manner in
organizing the 2005 Annual Turkey Shoot, materially assisted in the conduct of
the Fall Brush country JROTC skills meet and has organized, distributed, and
maintained the large inventory of rifle team equipment and supplies. Scott is a
sophomore and the son of Simon and Edna Navarro.
