Class overview— The 2009-2010 School year will be an exciting one.  Our new technology and training will put our students on the cutting edge on creating multi-media projects.  Our history students this year will present power point, movie maker, and other multi-media projects to help them increase their knowledge of Test-taking strategies and learn the Social Studies Content.  Our are area of expertise is in World, Texas, and U.S. History up to 1877.  The big picture is to train our students for the future and get them ready for the 11th grade TAKS test.

Short teacher bio— I’ve been teaching for 11 years now.  I’ve taught in elementary, Intermediate, Jr. High, and High School either as a substitute, teacher aide and as a teacher.  I attended Southwest Texas Junior College in Uvalde for 2 years and transferred to Sul Ross State University for the last 2 years.  I have an associates of arts in elementary education and a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in History.

Goals for the year— My goals for the year are for my students to learn the history content needed to master the TAKS test.  I’d like for all my students to have fun learning in my class by using technology and creating projects on their laptops.
